Aims: This project aims to investigate the possible Threshold Concepts in Information Literacy, from the perspective of individuals proficient in information literacy.
Participation in this project requires you to reflect upon an experience of using computer-based technology for finding information and answer a simple survey located online. It is estimated that it will take no longer than 30 minutes to answer the questions. You will also have opportunities to participate in interviews and focus groups as needed.
You may request a copy of any data you submit and publications resulting from this research from the above named researchers.
CONSENT TO PARTICIPATE
Your participation is voluntary and you are not under any obligation to consent to participate in this research. If you choose to participate you may later withdraw at any time without penalty or without providing an explanation. We hope that you will consider participating in this study, which has the potential to improve our understanding of information and sharing.
Risk
Participation in this research poses no risks as the research asks only about your experiences using computer-based technology. You are free to withdraw your consent at any time.
Confidentiality
This survey is for research purposes only. The data collected from this research will be reported in general terms in University reports and research papers in academic journals. It will not involve any identifying features. All data, whether digital or paper based, will be kept confidential and in a locked filing cabinet and password protected files in the Faculty of Law and Management, La Trobe University. A summary of the findings from the study will be made available to you at your request, by contacting the researchers, named above.
